At the seminar, Rom told them how much English they needed to have, which courses and tests were necessary, and what essay skills they had to develop. He also showed the English, TOEFL, and SAT study schedule for 10th, 11th, and 12th grades.
Most importantly, Rom shared with them the steps to be successful at getting to study in America. Students planning to study in America need to prepare themselves by learning as much English as possible NOW, start their college search as early as possible, and gather information about their top school choices. Moreover, they not only need to collect information about which colleges they intend to apply to, but also learn about American culture, and student lifestyles to avoid culture-shock when they leave their family, and friends to study abroad.
